Obituary of a great man
November 10th, 2007Jim West lost his battle with COPD on 11/8/2007 after many months of struggle . He went to see his maker in a peacefull manner, surrounded by his loved ones.
His 62 years on this earth was shorter than it should have been, but we are blessed to have been touched by his presence. His wise cracks and sharp wit continued until the very end. He loved his family, his friends, his work, his church and his local sports teams (but not enough to yell at the umpires).
Marylou (his wife of 37 years) has been both deeply saddened and relieved to see that his suffering has ended. He left his planet knowing that his loving, devoted wife had been with him through both health and sickness.Â
Jim taught the lessons of love, respect, displine, fair play, hard work and sarcasm to his children Ron, Melissa, Joanna, Eilleen, KC, Doris, Olson, Darcy and Beth. He may have only had 4 birth children but he loved them all as if they were his own. Grand children Kyeanna, Kaleo, Jamari, Aaron, Nathaniel, James, Declan and Reegan understood how much he cared for them, even though they aren’t old enough to understand where Grandpa has gone.
Viewing will be held on Tues 11/13 at Evergreen Washelli in Bothell from 6:30-8:30pm. Funeral Services and reception will be held Weds 11/14 at 9am at St. John Vianney in Kirkland. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in to the St. Vincent DePaul society.
